5g of May Grunwald's microbiological stain. This is a Romanowski type stain composed of Methylene Blue, Azur and Eosin. It is most commonly used in combination with Giemsa stain for the staining of blood films, especially in testing for malaria.
This powder dye should be made up 0.15g in methanol. Please note that methanol is toxic and this solvent and the made up stain solution should be handled with care.
