100g of Giemsa microbiological stain. This is a Romanowski type stain composed of Methylene Blue, Azur and Eosin. It is most commonly used for the staining of blood films, especially in testing for malaria but also for adrenal gland.
This powder dye should be made up 0.15g in either methanol or 50:50 methanol and glycerol. Please note that methanol is toxic and this solvent and the made up stain solution should be handled with care.
