One 500g container of bromofluorescein fluorescent dye. Bromofuorescein is one of the most intense dyes known. It has a very bright orange colour which is visible even at parts per million dilutions.
Bromofuorescein (also known as Eosin) is an acid dye - its CI name is Acid Red 43. The material is used in dye lasers (peak emission 538nm). It is widely used in microscopy (as a cytoplasmic stain and as a component of the Pap stain procedure in cervical cancer screening). It can be used in textile dyeing, Because of its very intense fluorescence, bromofluorescein can be used as a tracer dye or "dye bomb" in tracing water flows and establishing sewage leakage routes. It can also be used for the dyeing of wool and silk. It is not recommended for cotton.
